In 2024, Far Far Away collaborated with Tool of North America and LinkedIn to enhance the Talent Connect Summit, LinkedIn's premier annual event that welcomed 1,800 talent leaders from around the globe to Phoenix, Arizona. The summit's theme, "Where Possibility Works," emphasized the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the workplace.
Our primary objective was to develop an engaging method to introduce LinkedIn's AI-powered product solutions to the summit's attendees. To achieve this, we designed an immersive, multi-screen interactive experience titled "The New Age of Work."
Upon arrival, guests "Clocked In" by scanning their badges at a custom-designed punch card machine equipped with a QR code scanner. This process assigned each participant a specific seat at a continuous, serpentine table, flanked by two 35-foot-wide curved screens displaying synchronized content. At each seat, attendees found a small wooden cube, an element derived from the event's visual identity.
This cube allowed guests to interact with their personalized projected desktop, contextualizing and personalizing the overarching narrative presented on the main screens. The cubes featured reflective tape on top, detected by infrared cameras installed above. As participants moved the cube across their desktop, they created light trails and unveiled key insights, effectively communicating the capabilities of LinkedIn's AI solutions.
The "New Age of Work" installation successfully bridged the history of labor with the future of AI in the workplace. By offering an interactive and personalized experience, we effectively showcased LinkedIn's AI innovations, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
